IDC says IT to stay strong through 2009.
Spending on IT will continue to grow for at least four more years,
according to research firm IDC. The analyst house predicted that
worldwide spending will reach $1.34 trillion in 2009, up from $1.06
trillion this year, IDG News Service correspondent James Niccolai
reported in this story. The article quotes Anne Songtao Lu, program
manager for IDC's Worldwide Vertical Markets research service: “There's
no longer the double-digit growth they saw before 2000, but this growth
rate, for a lot of quite mature technologies, is very healthy.” She
