Labor Day

Strange to be celebrating Labor Day without Jerry Lewis as telethon host and MDA national chairman.


Still using iFolder on Ubuntu 10.04 and 11.04 amd64 machines, as well as Windows and Mac OS X 10.6.8. Mario Fetka’s packages for Ubuntu 10.10 seem to work on 11.04.

Ubuntu One

I’ve been trying to work with Ubuntu One on my two Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 computers.  I’m glad I’m trying the free version because it’s very painful.  Bookmark sync doesn’t appear to work at all. Virtual iFolder Server

For the past week I’ve been running an iFolder 3.8 server as a KVM virtual machine under Proxmox VE.  It’s based on the iFolder JeOS appliance from Suse Studio.

iFolder Update

Looks like the latest Ubuntu 10.04 packages for iFolder are working properly. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for packages for Ubuntu 10.10.

ifolder transition

Looks like the ifolder project is undergoing some sort of transition. Stay tuned for more. (This seems to happen regularly. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.)

iFolder Appliance

For the past month or so, I’ve been playing with the ifolder appliance developed by Steve Shaw.  It’s been working well.  Now I want to see if I can get it running in a KVM instance. (I’ve also been using the ifolder client packages for Ubuntu made by Marcelo Shima.)
