Google Calendar said to be close to launch. Rumors have been swirling for awhile that Google is preparing an online calendaring and scheduling service. Many blogs and news outlets predicted it would hit last week, but several search related industry events that were thought to be launchpads came and went without a Google announcement. More buzz is hitting this week, so I'm keeping a close watch on the Google Blog. Already, I'm getting competitive response e-mail pitches from vendors. I'm guessing the news might arrive Tuesday.
