I'm very happy to announce that Apress is publishing my book,
Micro-ISV: From Vision to Reality, which should be available in
January. The book covers defining, developing and marketing a software
application or web-based service while successfully building an
Internet-centric self-funded company. I'm writing this book because
while scores of hundreds of self-funded software and web service
companies are redefining the software industry, I could not find one
book that pulled together from a developer's perspective all of the
technical, business and marketing guidance I needed when launching
MasterList Professional. There were pre-Internet books about shareware,
general startup books and the like, but nothing about how a
