One in a million

One in a million.

Well, I just found out that one of my credit cards was one of 1.6 million credit cards recently stolen from Bank of America.
While it's an honor to be in the company of several senators and other
celebrities whose credit card information was also stolen, I am less
than pleased with the way this was handled.

Why didn't Bank of America notify me immediately? I only found out
when several merchants informed me charges had been declined. When I
called Bank of America they told me that they were eventually going to
reissue a new card for me, and only after expressing my dismay did they
offer to send a new card “within 2-3 days”.

What's ironic is that this isn't some big Internet heist:

” U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said he was told the data
backup tapes were likely stolen off of a commercial plane by baggage
handlers in December. “

So they've known about this since December? What a mess!  [Live @ Sax.net]
