Search engine company Vivisimo shows how it can be useful to restrict
search and clustering results to a single document, in this case the
500-page report of the US commission on the September 11 attacks. (The
report is available in bookstores, and in PDF on the commission's site, and Jason Kottke
offers a numbered-graf HTML version of the report's summary.) The
search engine is pretty startling effective, though… try searching on
“berger” or whatever, then click the clustering on “nsc memo” to
“president clinton” to drill down into multiple references on a single
topic. Wow, the Warren Commission never had anything like this…. 😉 [JD on MX]
