Alf Eaton has released a new version of OpenAM – his Amazon review tool.
The return of OpenAm. Thanks for the feedback – here's the return of OpenAm! The OpenAm service is for easy linking to books on the Amazon site (music and DVDs to come – the web services don't allow that yet). It also makes a simple address bar search tool. Just type openam.com/ followed by the name of the book. If it's a common name, you can add the author's name first. For example http://openam.com/stephen king/cujo. To direct to a particular country's Amazon site add /uk, /us or /de to the end of the link. To get commission for referrals, add your Associates ID to the end of the link. Read more details here. Constructive criticism appreciated – particularly whether I have the artist and title the right way round, and whether links should lead to the individual item pages (ie using ref=nosim)…. [HubLog]
We were working on some OpenReviews protoypes using Alf's stuff – but the programmer had to bag it. So if anyone out there wants to get involved in building some protypes for OTHER kinds of reviews standards – let me know. [Marc's Voice]
