Weblogging at work: John Robb, my boss, has some interesting things to say about weblogging at work. He says that weblogs can change how companies look at information. I, too, hear the claim “weblogs at work would quickly fill up with junk.” I don't agree with that. Anyway, most company's emails are full of junk. Most companies spend way too much time in meetings that are full of junk. I see a lot of junk at companies. I don't understand why your intranet shouldn't reflect what's really going on in your company. Maybe that would help the management deal with what's really going on, no? But, John's right. My company weblogs (I have one for UserLand's marketing that you all can't see) is definitely not full of junk. [Scobleizer]
