The future of IT jobs — looking good

The future of IT jobs — looking good.

In my InfoWorld column this week, I respond to yet more reports that IT jobs are going to disappear in the coming years. I agree that certain types
of IT jobs are likely to disappear, but the problem-solving skills
required in IT will never go out of style, particular when coupled with
some people skills.

My colleague Tom Sullivan picks up the theme this morning over at InfoWorld's TechWatch.
We all know that automation will impact specific jobs in some way and
smart IT professionals need to continually provide value to their
companies and work to understand their businesses, but I'm taking a
wait-and-see attitude towards the IT jobs apocalypse.  [Chad Dickerson: CTO Connection]
