The State of Massachusetts addresses Open Standards and Open Source. I attended a meeting with Massachusetts Secretary of Administration and Finance Eric Kriss, organized by the Massachusetts Software Council. A leaked internal memo relating to an “Open Standards, Open Source policy” has created much questioning by members of the software industry, and this informal meeting with Software Council members and other industry representatives was to help explain what was going on and get some feedback.
