Some Florida felons to regain voting rights. Florida has agreed to help restore voting rights to nearly 125,000 convicted felons who didn't get enough advice on how to regain their rights when they walked free, likely resulting in 30,000 of those felons regaining their civil rights this year, officials said Thursday.
The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition is also planning to hold 10 workshops across the state on Saturday to help people with felony convictions regain voting rights and the right to hold certain state occupational licenses. The workshops be held in Miami, Cocoa, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Gainesville, Milton, Orlando, Pensacola, St. Petersburg and Tampa. [ABC Action News via Moreover]
