When we heard from the FCC at SuperNova (see the article from the 7/21 issue of Opinions), they told an appalled audience that they were not supposed to listen to 750,000 citizens — only to experts.  Congress, however, knows that listening to its constituents counts.  Yesterday they voted, 400 to 21, to overturn the FCC decision to consolidate media outlet power in the hands of a smaller number of big companies.  Write your congressman and senator if you approve — he may be looking for support.  [amywohl News]
