News: WWDC. At his “keynote” presentation to Mac developers today at Apple's WWDC conference, Steve Jobs previewed “Panther”, the next version of Mac OS X, which introduces a new Finder, iChat AV and File Vault encryption, plus Apple's new, $149 video camera and a new development system named Xcode. A new Power Mac “G5” computer, with a super-fast architecture, is due in August at prices ranging from $1999 to $2999. [MacInTouch]
