NYT. McKinsey study finds that recent US productivity growth was driven by only 6 of 59 sectors of the US economy. Computer productivity rose from 45% to 66% a year. Wow. This makes the point I made yesterday about knowledge worker productivity on the K-Logs group: Most knowledge workers are not productive. Fully 70% of our economy in 53 sectors currently does not fully embrace computer automation. [John Robb's Radio Weblog]
