NYT: The Microsoft case goes on. “The Justice Department has said that it will pursue conduct restrictions based on the Federal District Court's order last year. Among other things, that decision ordered Microsoft to openly share technical information about Windows with other software companies; to offer personal computer makers the option of unbundled versions of Windows, without an Internet browser or other add-ons; and to sell Windows to all PC makers at the same price, though it could offer volume discounts.” Perhaps all is not lost and some hope still exists. However, given the events over the past month, I doubt Microsoft will cede anything to the gov't. [John Robb's Radio Weblog]
