lightning-fast fulltext search over all the web pages that you have visited

Webstuff – Today I was happy to stumble across some real innovation in software. Something that's been a passion of mine for sometime — a personal search-engine. Have you ever thought to yourself, “I know I saw a web page about that subject a few weeks ago; I wish I could remember what it was”? This utility stays in the background and builds a local search database off of every page you visit. You can choose at any time to run a lightning-fast fulltext search over all the web pages that you have visited. I've been putting it through its paces, and it seems to be quite solid. This is a step towards the vision that Seth Russell has for a “semantic memory”, and is a harbinger of some really cool opportunities for software in the future. [Better Living Through Software]
